How many times a day do you stop, take a breath and ask yourself how you are feeling right at that moment?
It’s incredibly easy to just roll through the day getting things done and not notice that you have feelings surging through your body the whole time. In fact many of us don’t breath properly all day – its often the reason we sigh when we stop.
Identify half a dozen spots in your day that always happen – such as entering the door at work, having lunch, starting your car etc and commit to stopping for 30 seconds so that you can take the biggest breath possible.
During that breath (which will be very GOOD for you) check in with yourself. Ask yourself what you are feeling.
Perhaps you’ll need to make some suggestions to yourself, but just check in, recognise and adjust if necessary.
